Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Stéphane Grenier

September 29, 2016
Canadian Mental Health Association Durham is pleased to welcome Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Stéphane Grenier to Oshawa for the afternoon of September 29th, 2016.
A veteran of the Canadian military, Stéphane retired as a Lieutenant Colonel following numerous overseas missions, including 10 months in Rwanda and six months in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Faced with undiagnosed post-traumatic stress disorder, Grenier took a personal interest in the way the Canadian Forces addressed mental health issues.
He continues to challenge society’s traditional outlook by redefining how we should care for and support those affected by mental health problems. Using a blend of evidence-based, personal experiences and humour, Grenier provides audiences with a firm understanding of why we need to re-humanize the healing and recovery process.
Stéphane’s talk will include a Q & A session, as well as light refreshments and networking opportunities.
